RK'S
MILAGROSA DE PROFETA |
"RK's
Milagrosa de Profeta", or Millie as we call her, is very fino,
8-year-old mare sired by the Multi National and International Fino
Champion, "Profeta de Besilu", and an equally exceptional
fino mare, sired by "Carmin", named "Carmina del
Conde", who was initially owned by Jamie Suarez.
For her first year under saddle, Ramon Figueroa trained and showed
Millie in open Pleasure, Performance, and Fino classes. Although
she easily qualified for all three of these classes for the 2001
Nationals, towards the end of the show year, she showed her naturalness
for fino. |
 |
At
the 2001 Nationals, Millie and Ramon finished as 5th National Champion
in a class of 24 fillies, in 3-year-old Fino Fillies.
For the 2002 show year, Millie was trained and shown by her owner,
Rose Marie Burke in a number of sanctioned USA/PFHA shows. This
year, Rose put more emphasis on Millie's mental training with lots
of desensitizing, flexation, and stamina building drills, knowing
that Lynn would also show her sparingly in A/O 4-year-old fino fillies,
at Nationals.
With only one previous show together, and with Rose's expert guidance
with this filly, Lynn and Millie won Reserve National Champion,
A/O 4-year-old Fino Fillies, at the 2002 PFHA Grand National Championship,
in Perry, Georgia.

 |
In
October of 2002, Millie reached another milestone in her early career
by earning her T.O.P., Title of Proficiency, for having accumulated
at least 500 show points in sanctioned PFHA shows.
During the 2003 show year, Millie
was shown sparingly as a Fino mare in both amateur owner and open
classes. Although she did very well at the regional and National
level with her classes, we chose not to push her and allow her to
mature more both physically and mentally before really beginning
training for future Fino mares classes.
|
 |
For
the 2006 show year, Millie will be shown in Open Fino Mares with her
owner/trainer, Rose Marie Burke. Since she was allowed to skip the
2004 and 2005 show years to gain more confidence and maturity, she
should again be a very strong contender for this class at the regional
and National level.
